School over whelmed
Lately I have been feeling really overwhelmed. Its like I have too many hats on and now its taking a toll. I look around my house and see that its not clean and want to scream. Its like I have 20 million jobs and it doesn't seem like one is really getting done.
First I'm a mom. I wake up the kids, feed them make sure they on the bus in the morning. Then after school I have to pick them up and make sure their homework gets done. Not to mention cooking them dinner.
I'm a wife. Which is a job by itself. Some might say I'm not good at it but dang if you had to do what I do all day you would be tired too. And he doesn't come home till like 8 so then he wants me to drop everything and take care of him. He wants me to cook him dinner and listen to his day and just but my energy on him.
Then I work also, so even though it is office work it is still mentally stress. I'm lucky that I have time to do my homework during the day but its hard to consintrate with customers comming in all the... (more)
Karla in Qatar Across the Country - Dukhan
I'm a week late with this entry as the trip occurred last Saturday. Still in search of a free and clean beach, we set off in a caravan across the country - all 50k of it - to an area just north of a town called Dukhan. The countryside looks much the same as any part of Qatar, but there was enough change in elevation that our ears popped. Our drive was not in the least boring, however, as we enjoyed a look at some wildlife on the way.
The problem with photographing a truckload of camels is that there's always that one player who can't resist staring at the hotties by the roadside. Did everyone know this but me?
The beach itself turned out to be quite lovely, not exactly the soft sands of the Great Lakes or the Atlantic shoreline, but the water was every bit as crystal clear as any Carribbean water I have been lucky enough to enjoy. We (the Al Hitme foursome and our boss, Gari) traveled with two couples of various nationalities, the husbands both oil and gas executives. Here's the... (more)
Boblog 10/10
Well, it's another friday night, and I am at the computer, instead of out meeting people. Which is fine with me. I guess you would consider me a semi-misanthrope.
I would go into this big discourse about how homo sapiens is an oxymoron, but I shall pass.
I'm still considering moving back to Arkansas, Will I like it, will I hate it?
Oh well, we'll see what happens.

Brainfood anyone? - Mine and Kim's attempt at Betty Crocker cookies. Betty, you suck.
Through all the fights. Through all the bad dreams. Through all the paranoia of ghosts. The headaches and sore throats. The whinging and sooking. The stress. The crying. The compulsiveness. The jealousy. The nagging. The cheap lunches. I'm sure as hell glad that you're still here (L)
On another note... PANIC! I think I'm getting sick due to, once again, lack of sleep. It's hard to tell though cos I had a false alarm last week but was fine. Anyway, my purpose here today... if anyone has a sore throat, ran out of honey and ran out of lemons, try using steam. Fill a tall narrow-ish jar 3/4 with boiling kettle water, put in two drops of Eucalyptus oil and inhale every now and then for half an hour. No I didn't run out of honey and lemons, they just wouldn't relieve the pain so I had to resort to this unusual and uncommon method
BTW- HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO PHU & JUNO for yesterday and DILINI... (more)
